April 25 -- Prince Rupert Serious Highway Collision

Highway 16 was closed for over five hours east of Prince Rupert on Sunday, after a serious car collision between two vehicles. The incident which is suspected to be alcohol required that one occupant, a 19 year old female be airlifted to a Vancouver hospital with serious injuries.

The Prince Rupert branch of the SPCA is taking care of a six month old cat that was taken to them for attention and required surgery at the local veterinary hospital, once Panda the cat is in good health again it will be up for adoption.
